6 Days Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls Wildlife trip

A game drive in both park together with a Lunch Cruise on Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth can reward you with sightings of a number of animals such as Giraffes, Cape buffaloes, water bucks, lions, Uganda kobs, leopards, hyenas, giant forest hog elephants among others as well a number of bird species including the African skimmer, pick-backed pelicans, papyrus canary, martial eagle and the great flamingos and many more.

You will then transfer to Murchison Falls National Park for a number of winders. The park is unique and famous for the world’s strongest falls on the River Nile that divides the park into two; the Northern and Southern parts.

You can hike to the top of the falls to experience the beauty of the mighty river Nile where its waters squeezes into a 7 meter gorge deep down over 45 meters with thunderous roars.

Day 1: Transfer to the Park

• Meet up with the guide in the morning for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with having lunch enroute in Mbarara town.
• Dinner and overnight at Mweya Peninsula or Simba campsite

Day 2: Game drive and Launch cruise

• In the morning, you will set out for a game drive in the Kasenyi area with in the Park.
• In the afternoon, you will take launch cruise along the Kazinga and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Fort Portal

• After early morning breakfast, depart for an early morning chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura gorge.
• Later on, return to the lodge for refreshments as you prepare for a transfer back to Fort Portal town for dinner and overnight.
• Mountains of the Moon Hotel for Up market/Fort Motel for Mid-range/ Rwenzori Travelers for budget.

Day 4: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

• Set out and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
• Dinner and overnight stay at Paraa safari Lodge for up market/ Sambiya river lodge for mid-range and Red chill camp for budget

Day 5: Game drive and launch cruise

• In the morning, you will go for a game drive in the northern part of the park.
• Later on you will return to your lodge for lunch as you wait for the afternoon launch cruise along the Albert Nile. Lodge for up market/ Sambiya river lodge for mid-range and Red chill camp for budget.

Day 6: Top of the falls and transfer back to Kampala

• After breakfast, you will visit the Top of the falls.
• Later on, transfer to Masindi town for lunch before proceeding to Kampala reaching in the late afternoon for drop off will be at your Hotel or Airport to catch your flight.
