4 Day Congo Gorillas & Nyiragongo Hike.

Day 1: Kigali Airport – Transfer to Gisenyi.

Early in the morning our Safari guide will be at your hotel for pick up, have your breakfast and after check out to meet our guide for the Kigali city tour visiting the Kigali genocide memorial and other places of interest in Kigali, have lunch and after transfer to Gisenyi for relaxation at Lake Kivu. Dinner and overnight at Paradise Malahinde or Hotel Gorillas.

Day 2: Cross to Congo – Start Mountain Nyiragongo Hike.

Early in the morning check out at the lodge and drive to the customs in Goma and cross to DR Congo for Nyiragongo hike, after crossing you will be driven straight to the starting point for the short briefing which is first conducted before the Journey is started to highlight the trekkers about this exciting journey to the top of the Volcano.

After briefing the Journey is started in a group with ranger guides and armed officers, starting early in the morning you will be at the top in the evening for overnight stay using the reserved shelters at the top. A night is spent to sight the night view of burning lava which is usually red in colour plus taking photos.

Day 3: Descend back to Starting Point – Goma town visit

After the exciting overnight spent at the top, next day is for descending back to the starting point for a visit to the Goma town, after transfer and check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation options include Ihusi hotel, Bukima tented camp, or Mikeno lodge in Goma.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Virunga – Transfer back to Kigali.

Early in the morning after your breakfast at the lodge transfer up to Bukima starting point for the briefing about Mountain Gorilla trekking in Virunga highlighting on what to do and what not to do while in the jungle and in presence of Gorillas, After briefing the Gorilla trek is started in a group.

After locating these apes in the jungle you are only allowed to be in their presence for only one hour while seeing them playing, laughing, feeding and more. After the Gorilla trek return to the lodge for relaxation and after transfer back to Rwanda.

After crossing to Rwanda drive straight to Kigali either for return flight or overnight stay in Kigali city. End of Safari.
