Trip Overview
This one day safari exposes you to the colonial capital of Uganda which is also the first town that welcomes you on any visit to Uganda from the currently only operational International airport the country has. It is an ideal trip for one who would like to take a day off to relax while in Entebbe.
Entebbe is one of the best places in Uganda to be in if you a great relaxation. It is a quiet town cooled by the breezes from Lake Victoria, beach palm trees, good hotels, the beautiful botanical gardens that have beautiful views of the Lake and the white sand beaches.
If you also need to see wildlife, Uganda wildlife Education Center (UWEC) preserves the zoo almost within the Entebbe town. There are many wild animals to see, some of which include; the lions, Rhinos, chimpanzees, Impalas, Olive Baboons, Zebras, Buffaloes, monkeys, and many more as well as a variety of bird species such as the shoe bill stork, crested cranes among others.
ITINERARY
Just early in the morning after breakfast, meet up with the guide at the hotel and drive to the botanical gardens located on the shores of Lake Victoria. From the gardens, you can sight a number of primates such as baboons and monkeys, most fantastic tropical plants and close to 20 species of birds, butterflies among others.
You will also take a walk on the white sand beach as well as taking a look at the beautiful Lake shore scenery which will grant you a peaceful morning in a good relaxing place blown by the coil lake breeze.
Have lunch along the sandy beach under the shade provided by the large palm trees under which you can order many local dishes & international dishes and many more.
After, you will drive to Uganda wildlife Education Center where you will see most of the animals and the bird species resident here in Uganda, view many animals and also take photos of your interest.
After, drive to Imperial Beach resort Entebbe, which is also the best white sand beach in Uganda located on the shores of Lake Victoria. The place is also ideal for sun bathing and swimming from the clean waters of the hotel’s Olympic size swimming pool.
In case you need a motor boat, it can be arranged so that you can enjoy a cruise on Lake Victoria; since this trip is within a town center, it can end as late as 8:00 pm local time.
