OVERVIEW
This trip takes you to Rwanda, the land of a thousand hills for a number of adventures that include Mountain Gorilla Trekking in the Volcanoes National Park (Parc Nationale Des Volcanoes), which is part of the renowned Virunga massif.
The trip also takes you to Nyungwe Forest National Park that renowned as one of the top spots for primates in Africa, with up to 13 primate species including the common chimpanzees, Adolph Fredrich’s Angola Colobus, Owl faced monkeys, L’Hoest, Black and White Colobus monkeys, Hamlyn’s monkey, silver monkey, Rend tailed monkeys, Olive Baboons, Vervets, Galago and bush babies among others.
The trip ends with a city tour around Kigali town.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On your arrival, you will be picked from the airport in Kigali by your guide who will then transfer you to the Volcanoes National Park.
Check in into your accommodation facility for relaxation, Dinner and overnight as you prepare for the next day’s encounter with the Mountain Gorillas.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking & Transfer to Nyungwe Forest NP
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing about mountain Gorilla trekking and also meeting up with the ranger guides that will be taking you through this great adventure.
Begin on the search for these gigantic but peaceful and shy creatures that can be quite rough. The search can take about 2 to 6 hours. On finding them, you will be allowed to spend only an hour observing their way of life and capturing the moments on Camera.
Immediately after the trekking, you will then transfer to Nyungwe forest National Park.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking
Early in the Morning, you will go for chimpanzee tracking immediately after your breakfast through the Nyungwe Forest. While looking for these playful apes in the trees, you will also spot other primates including the colobus monkeys, red tailed, black and white colobus among others.
You will also see a variety of forest bird species as well as butterflies among others.
Return to the lodge for the late lunch and relax as you wait for dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House.
Day 4: Transfer Back to Kigali
Have breakfast and after be transferred back to Kigali city where you will also enjoy a Kigali tour. You will visit a number of places including the cultural museum in Butare, Genocide Memorial sites, administration blocks among others.
You will then transfer to the airport for your depart flight.
