3 Days Murchison Falls tour

OVERVIEW

This trip takes you to Murchison Falls National Park, currently the country’s second (if not the) most visited Safari destination. The park is unique and famous for the world’s strongest falls on the River Nile that divides the park into two; the Northern and Southern parts.

During a game drive or a boat ride, you can see a number of animals including elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, a number of antelope species including the Uganda Kob and waterbucks, Lions, hippos, Leopards and Warthogs among others.

You can also hike to the top of the falls to experience the beauty of the mighty river Nile where its waters squeezes into a 7 meter gorge deep down over 45 meters with thunderous roars.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

• After meeting with our guide at your accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe Airport, transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Luweero-Nakasongola and Masindi.
• En route, have a stopover at the Zziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking.
• Upon arrival at the Park, you will visit the top of the falls.
• Dinner and overnight stay at Paraa safari Lodge for up market/ Sambiya river lodge for mid-range and Red chill camp for budget

Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise

• In the morning, you will go for a game drive in the northern part of the park.
• Later on you will return to your lodge for lunch as you wait for the afternoon launch cruise along the Albert Nile. Lodge for up market/ Sambiya river lodge for mid-range and Red chill camp for budget.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer back to Kampala

• After breakfast start on a transfer back to Kampala, making a stopover for Chimpanzee tracking in Kaniyo Pabidi forest.
• Reach Kampala in the evening for dinner and overnight stay or drop off at the Entebbe Airport
