Wildlife Safaris

Uganda has a number of spectacular wildlife to offer from flora to fauna. Leaving aside being the world’s number one mountain gorilla destination, Uganda is gifted by a number of unique primates, with only Kibale Forest harboring 13 species such as chimpanzees, bush babies, L’hoest monkeys, blue monkeys among others.

Uganda’s wildlife gives you a chance to see the big cats including the rare tree climbing lions, leopards, cheetahs, serval cat, civet cats, the big five (rhino, elephants, buffalo, leopard and lions). You can also see aquatic animals during your launch cruise while on a safari such as hippopotamus, crocodiles/ alligators among other general wild animals such as the antelopes, kobs, bush backs, water bucks, impalas, zebras, giraffe etc.

There is also a variety of bird species in Uganda to see during your bird watching experience. The birding check list consists of approximately 1000 bird species, in these including the forest and Forest edge Birds, savannah grassland and savannah woodland Birds, Fresh water and salt water birds all falling in either Resident or migratory Birds. Some of these birds are endemic to the country;
